Will I lose quality by converting PNG to JPG?
For photographs: no visible quality loss at 80% or above. For graphics with sharp edges, text, or flat colours: JPG adds slight blur and artefacts. Keep those as PNG.
What happens to the transparent background?
Transparent pixels become white in the JPG output. JPG does not support transparency. If you need transparency, convert to WEBP instead.
Is the conversion done in my browser or on a server?
Entirely in your browser — no upload, no server, no privacy concern. The conversion uses your device's Canvas API.
Can I convert multiple PNGs at once?
Yes. Select multiple PNG files on the upload step and each is converted and downloaded separately.
Should I use JPG or WEBP for web images?
WEBP is smaller than JPG at the same quality and is supported by all modern browsers. If you are building a website, convert to WEBP. For email and social media, JPG is safer due to wider compatibility.
